Now in our 10th Successful Year
Our Phoenix Group meetings for Bowel Cancer Patients, Carers and Family Members will be held at our regular venue at Penny Farm.. You are very welcome to join our group at one of our events and offer support to others or be supported by like minded patients. Whatever stage of your treatment you will always be welcome at our meetings where we offer non-medical practical and emotional support and have a bit of fun as well.
We Have a New Permanent Venue
We are a Patient Led Unpaid Volunteer Group of Bowel Cancer Patients willing to help and support others. Formed in January 2015 we were initially trained, funded and supported by Macmillan and are now a very successful Independent Bowel Cancer Support Group. If you would like to learn more or become a member please come along and meet the Group many have been through the same everyday challenges that you are going through. Please contact us first before attending our events.

It was good to share experiences with each other nice atmosphere and interesting speakers.
Over the last two years or so Dad has been a Member of the Phoenix Group, a group for like minded people who have also suffered from Bowel Cancer. This has been a salvation to him, enjoying the meetings and trips out. He, Mum and myself have met some very special people through the Group.
Don't know how we managed before this group started. It has been a great help to me. Highly recommend.
Really look forward to the meetings every month. These meetings have been a great help and given me more confidence again.
It was a relief to meet and talk with other people with similar challenges to me. I have picked up some really good practical tips especially about planning for holidays and trips away.
Have had some really good days out and events with the Group Members including Pub Lunches, Xmas Party, Heritage Tours and the Pantomime at Lowther Pavillion.
Best part is mixing with other people who have similar experiences on a confidential and informal basis.
I have been a member of this group since November 2016 and have had the most amazing support, especially with recently having to have a colostomy. Their help and knowledge for everyone is wonderful. So come on along and enjoy the fun, laughter and chatting xx
